Bulk Tipper Logistics: Mini Excavations have available a tipper fleet of up to 30 vehicles ranging from 3 tonne mini tippers for household deliveries, 12 tonne body trucks for site and project work up to the 40.5 tonne payload PBS quad dogs for highway running and bulk contract deliveries. All our vehicles are mass and maintenance managed through NHVAS accreditation and all vehicles are fitted with GPS tracking.

 

Organic Garden Blends: Mini Excavations have developed our own AS4419 Certified organic garden blend. sourcing materials from across Central Queensland. We have created a blend specially suited to improving the high alkaline top soil of the Gladstone region. We can and do supply quantities in the thousands of tonnes and regularly transport material across by barge to Curtis Island. All material is pest free and a weeds declaration will be provided.

 

Regulated Waste: Mini Excavations are fully compliant with ERA 57 with the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection.QLD in the Transport of Regulated Waste: Registration number  728882.

PAST PERFORMANCE

Mini Excavations has been operating in Gladstone since 1988. We have Preferred Supplier agreements to manage bulk tipper logistics in our region for Boral Australia supplying materials to their external customers and all their concrete batch plants (including 1,000,000 tonnes barged to the Curtis Island LNG plants). We have a similar arrangement with Sibelco Australia where we supply bulk tippers to cart aglime, roadbase and aggregates from their quarry in Calliope, all over Queensland. 

Mini Excavations have since 1989 provided a skilled workforce and sand extraction expertise for Boral Resources at their Tannum Sands Sand mine, excavating the raw feed, On-site haulage, road building and land rehabilitation on their 400 acre site. Our expertise also includes haul truck and road building for Queensland forestry and Acid sulphate soil treatment for Gladstone Regional Council.

We also have arragements in place to supply sand and aggregates to Sunmix Concrete, Barro group in Brisbane Gladstone Regional Council, Boral Concrete, Bechtel, John Holland Group,McCosker Contracting and a number of the leading major Civil project developers in the region.

Mini Excavations have in place a rigourous and comprehensive Integrated Management system that ensures that our work methods and safety procedures are compatible with all of our customers, who are working to the level of ISO 9001:2008 and 9004:2000. We are committed to continous improvement and use an independent audit of our systems to keep us in the right direction. We have successfully been reveiwed and accepted during the pre-qualification process for the Gladstone Regional Council and the following Internationally recognised Companies.

Our strongest point of difference to most of our competitors is that we are local. We have the local knowledge and connections to gear up for major projects at very short notice. We have access to a large number of skilled local sub-contractors who can be mobilised quickly to cover unexpected material requirements, these sub-contractors all work under our Integrated Management System and are rigourously monitored to ensure full compliance. we can source all types of sand, aglime, stone, gravel and soil materials.We are a professional operation with a strong commercial integrity that seeks to build and maintain successful, long term relationships with our customers.
